How do you finish the vinyl around the edges?
We wrap the architectural vinyl around the edges and approximately 10mm over the rear of the door or drawer. This creates a clean, professional finish while helping the vinyl remain securely bonded and durable over time. You can choose to wrap the rear face too. This would need to be discussed at site survey stage.
Do you wrap the inside of the kitchen cabinets?
Our standard kitchen wrapping service covers the visible exterior surfaces, as the inside of the cabinets isn't normally visible when closed. However, if you would like the interiors wrapped too, this can be discussed as an additional option.
Is kitchen wrapping vinyl waterproof?
Yes. Our architectural vinyl is specifically designed for interior applications such as kitchens and is water-resistant and able to withstand normal kitchen use. As with any material, prolonged exposure to standing water should be avoided.
How do I clean my vinyl wrapped kitchen?
For everyday cleaning, we recommend using lukewarm water with a mild, soapy solution and a soft cloth. For stubborn marks or stains, please contact us for advice. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals such as bleach, as these can damage or discolour the vinyl.
Can you wrap the kitchen skirting boards?
Yes. We can wrap the skirting boards beneath your kitchen cabinets to help create a consistent and seamless finish throughout your kitchen.
How long does it take to vinyl wrap a kitchen?
Most kitchens can be professionally wrapped in 1–2 days. More intricate designs, such as detailed Shaker-style doors, may take longer due to the additional preparation and fitting required.
What warranty do you offer on vinyl wrapped kitchens?
All kitchen wrapping projects include a 6-month fitting warranty and a 12-month material warranty, depending on the product selected. Our warranties are subject to our full terms and conditions.
What if I have a damaged kitchen door or panel?
That's not a problem. If a door or panel is too damaged to be successfully wrapped, we can have a made-to-measure replacement MDF door manufactured and professionally wrapped to match your new kitchen. Once fitted, the replacement is designed to blend seamlessly with the rest of the kitchen.
Can you wrap kitchen worktops?
Yes, kitchen worktops can be wrapped, but we don't generally recommend it. Worktops are exposed to much more wear and tear, including hot pans, sharp objects, oils and spills, which can affect the longevity of the vinyl. If your budget allows, we would recommend investing in a granite or quartz worktop by Meridian Granite for a more durable long-term solution. If replacing the worktop isn't within your budget, however, worktop wrapping can still be considered.
Is kitchen wrapping cheaper than replacing a kitchen?
The biggest difference is cost, time and disruption. If your existing kitchen cabinets are structurally sound, there is often no need to replace them simply because the doors look dated or worn. Professional kitchen wrapping allows you to transform the appearance of your existing kitchen without the expense and waste of a full replacement. You can keep the cabinets that already work for you and simply give the visible surfaces a completely new finish.
Do I need to empty my kitchen cabinets before wrapping?
No. We remove the doors and drawers before wrapping them, so we can work away from your food, crockery and other kitchen contents. Once the wrapping is complete, we refit everything for you, meaning there is no need to completely empty your kitchen.
Will I get bubbles in my vinyl wrap?
When professionally installed, your kitchen vinyl wrap should have a smooth, bubble-free finish. Bubbles, lifting or poor adhesion can be caused by inadequate surface preparation or incorrect installation. With more than 10 years of experience wrapping kitchens, we take the preparation and fitting process seriously. Our 6-month fitting warranty also gives you additional peace of mind should you experience an issue with the installation.
